Near the cottage there is both a playground and a soccer field. On hot summer days there are good swimming opportunities where you can refresh yourself. For dining out, a trip to Bekkjarvik Gjestgiveri is recommended. Or take a day trip to Bergen to experience the aquarium, fish market, Bryggen and Fløibanen.
