In the surrounding area there are large forests and a beautiful, child-friendly swimming beach for the active vacationers. In the fishing port, cutters arrive daily, you can occasionally buy fresh fish from the cutter. You can cast your fishing line from the pier itself. In the nice old Grenaa you can shop well, on the large square by the church you will find everything you need in restaurants and stores. Also visit the Kattegatcenter, it houses a large oceanarium with sharks, squids and other fantastic animals.
